Two Perfect Days in Granada, Spain

When we originally went searching for unique destinations in Spain it became obvious to us that we had to visit Granada!

Fresh mountain air, winding streets, and Islamic architecture seemed like the perfect respite after three wild days in Barcelona. If you know me, you know that I’m an avid researcher and planner.

Before a trip I endlessly explore our options, almost to a fault. This was one of the first locations that completely blew me away. All the researching and pouring over pictures and blog posts couldn’t have prepared me for how beautiful Granada would be in person. I’m so thankful that even in times like these, when it’s possible to feel like you’ve been somewhere without ever going, you can still be met with surprise and awe.

Most tourists come to Granada to visit the Alhambra, an iconic Moorish palace dating back to the 13th century. We certainly spent our fair share of time walking amongst the pomegranate trees and soaking in the ingenious water fountains, but beyond the intricately carved, geometric walls lied something more.
